How are the prayer times calculated?
Prayer times are produced on your device using Diyanet-based astronomical calculation methods for your selected city or, if you tap "use my location", your current position. Calculated times may differ slightly from local official calendars, so rely on your local religious authority for exact times.
Which Qur'an translation does Nur Vakti use?
Nur Vakti presents the Arabic text alongside transliteration and the Elmalılı M. Hamdi Yazır (1935) Turkish translation. Religious texts and translations are drawn from public-domain or openly licensed sources and are shown with their source.
Does Nur Vakti work offline?
Yes. The Qur'an, translation, prayer times, dhikr, and learning content all work offline. Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on your device rather than sent from a server, so notifications arrive without an internet connection.
Can Nur Vakti teach me to read the Qur'an?
Yes. Nur Vakti includes Elif-Bâ lessons and a step-by-step Qur'an reading module that starts from the letters and builds up to reading verses. Worship guides for prayer, ablution, ghusl, fasting, zakat, qurban, and funeral rites are included as well.
Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?
No account is required and the app has no user database. Your name, chosen city, theme, notification preferences, and dhikr and khatm progress are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app. If you tap "use my location", the coordinates are sent to Apple's location service to resolve a city name and are not sent to any server of ours.

Nur Vakti is free to download and the free version shows Google AdMob ads. The Nur Vakti Altın subscription removes all ads and unlocks exclusive themes, wallpapers, and all learning lessons. Plan names, durations, and current prices are shown on the purchase screen in your device's local currency.
